Please consider this unique opportunity for a Pediatric Dentist with great clinical and people skills. A Pediatric Dentist who enjoys restorative dentistry, does not want the stress of “running a practice,” or working in a corporate setting. Someone who would appreciate the flexibility of setting their own schedule; working when and how much they want, generating net “take-home” income commensurate with “conventional” practice, and make an enormous, positive impact on the lives of your patients and their families…
Please consider joining me and limiting your practice to “Comprehensive Pediatric Dentistry under General Anesthesia.”
Since closing my conventional pediatric dental office in McKeesport PA, just south of Pittsburgh, in May 2016, I have been providing comprehensive, one-visit, dental treatment under general anesthesia in a surgical center setting at Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center in West Mifflin, PA, also, just south of Pittsburgh. The surgery center is fully accredited, equipped and staffed with excellent nurses, OR techs trained as dental assistants, nurse anesthetists and board-certified anesthesiologists. I began the pediatric dental program at the surgery center while still in “conventional” practice, over 25 years ago. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me, the patients I treat and their families.
Just as importantly, during these times when it has become increasingly difficult for some pediatric dentists to schedule OR time for their patients, at Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center, we are treated with respect, considered an important, integral part of the surgery center’s mix of services and have NO problem scheduling OR time for our patients. The surgery center follows all CDC and Department of Health mandates and recommendations.
We treat children, exclusively by referral, from a cadre of dental and medical offices; general practitioners, specialists (including other pediatric dentists, and pediatricians) and the county dental clinics. I continue to see and treat patients from my former practice who require additional dental treatment. In addition, I am affiliated with a dental practice designed and dedicated to children with developmental disabilities and autism and provide comprehensive dental treatment under general anesthesia for those patients who require that modality. Our geographic referral area is, literally, the entire western half of Pennsylvania.
Our referrers are most appreciative that we can schedule their patients within a reasonable time frame, treat them comprehensively, and return them to their “primary” dental office for continuing care.
This is a great opportunity for a pediatric dentist who does not want the stress of “running a practice;” managing staff, overhead, examining and treating dozens of patients/day, etc., or working in a corporate setting, and would appreciate the flexibility that comprehensively treating a few (3-7) patients/day affords.
We participate in virtually all commercial insurance programs and ALL Medicaid and CHIP programs. I am not financially responsible for equipment, supplies, staff or rent. Because of the low overhead, income is commensurate with “conventional” practice, without the stress or expense. We “make up” in volume of necessary treatment provided, what “we lose” in the fee schedules we accept.
I am interested in bringing on, associating with, and mentoring a Pediatric Dentist who will help grow this unique practice, and continue to provide these essential services to those children who desperately need them. A current PA license and Medicaid # would be helpful, but not required.
