Responsibilities will involve but not be limited to: Pre-clinical, clinical and didactic teaching in Pre-doctoral and Postdoctoral Pediatric Dentistry programs; including overseeing patient care provided by the Pre-doctoral and Postdoctoral students as well as supervising the treatment of patients using sedation and/or general anesthesia. Participation in the Dental School Faculty Practice is required. Active participation in research is anticipated.
A DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited school and a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry; candidate must be eligible for a New Jersey dental license.
An enteral sedation permit must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Demonstrate clinical and administrative effectiveness including training, experience and competency in the administration of pharmacological and/or gaseous analgesia. Must have knowledge and ability to execute dental procedures in the areas of pediatric dentistry. There must be a demonstrated ability to manage a broad segment of dental problems with minimal supervision.
