Job Description and Expectations:
Provides an advanced level of comprehensive dental care of pediatric and special needs population under the direction of the dental team at Tru Healthcare and Baltimore Medical System/Johns Hopkins Hospital. Provides patient care and treatment consistent with the mission and values of Tru Healthcare and in accordance within the scope of practice, professional, and regulatory standards.
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age, culture, ethnicity, and specific individual diagnostic needs of the patients served in his/her department. He/she must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s specific needs and provide the care needed by the patient group (pediatric, and/or adolescent, culture and diagnostic specific).
Consistently expresses and demonstrates compassion and courtesy for patients. Extends courtesy and support to patient’s families/visitors.

Qualifications
D.M.D. or D.D.S. from an accredited dental school
Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Dentistry
Accredited pediatric dentistry residency program completion
PALS/BLS
Experience working with pediatric patients and patients with special needs
Current active dental license issued by the State of Maryland or eligible for license
Appropriate credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices
Completion of all required pre-employment activities (screening, background check, badging, and orientation)
