Summary

The Part Time Oral Surgeon serves as a practicing dentist who performs a full range of professional dental oral surgery procedures in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective - or preventive measures. Also - this position provides supervision of dental staff and is responsible for dental clinic administration at the assigned location.

Duties

• Duties include - but are not limited to: Preforming dentoalveolar surgery in a medically compromised patient population
• Providing oral surgery treatment in both outpatient clinic and operating room settings
• Treating orofacial infections and trauma
• Performing pre-prosthetic surgery
• Placing dental endosseous implants
• Conducting diagnostic procedures consistent with the practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS)
• Providing surgical treatment and biopsy of oral and maxillofacial pathology
• Performing hard and soft issue grafting procedures consistent with the practice of OMFS
• Supervising of Dental General Practice and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents
• Other duties as assigned
